ENGINEERING PRACTICE
AI-assisted engineering
AI-assisted tools are part of my daily workflow, not a replacement for engineering judgment. I use them to speed up code analysis and root-cause investigation during incidents, scaffold boilerplate and test cases, navigate unfamiliar parts of a codebase faster, and draft technical documentation - while architecture decisions, code review and production sign-off remain human calls. In practice, that means Cursor and GitHub Copilot inside the editor, Claude and ChatGPT for research and troubleshooting, and OpenAI Codex and Gemini for targeted automation tasks.
